Here you can get a short overview about the comany.
For over 100 years Eichhorn stands for quality - and this will remain for ever.
The company Eichhorn was founded in 1896 in order to produce high
precision measuring instruments and was later on led by the name
Glastechnische Werkstätte W. Eichhorn. From the very beginning the
fabrication of spirit level vials was one of the main fields of the
production.
The development of technology and production methods led to an
expanding product range not only regarding spirit level vials.
Since
many years now CNC-milling, CNC-turning and injection moulding are
standard
procedures in our company. Meanwhile many kinds of glass (circular)
spirit level vials have been replaced or added by plastic vials. Though
still nowadays our high precision spirit level vials made of glass are important
components in many industrial products.
In 1991 the company was renamed in Glas- und Meßtechnik
GmbH Dieter Eichhorn with its GME logo which represents the short form of the comany´s name.
Meanwhile led in the 4th generation something never changed: The demand
to always produce very high quality products for our customers. At this stage we have the
opportunity to go back to an experience of more than 100 years in order
to supply you with the known quality also in the future.
